Oh wow. You just captured the horrible, terrifying realisation that you just angered a Shambler right after hearing his roar, running at you at a completely physically impossible speed.
Excelllent job with the shading. I like the brush work on his back; he almost looks hairy in a way, but it gives off an interesting effect. And gosh look at those gnarly arms! *shudders*

I've seen a lot of people draw him hairy, almost like a lovecraftian yeti, and I believe fur gives it more character.

I'd just study, look at, and get inspired by a bunch of different artists who are good at drawing monsters.

To name a few, Moebius, Richard Corben(Great One!), Wayne Barlowe, H.R. Giger, Carlos Huante, Bernie Wrightson...etc.

When you have an artistic need, I know the perfect guys to go to for inspiration!
